Meet Dominic Herbertson

One of the top road racers in the country, Dominic Herbertson (better known as Dom 'the Bomb') is a consistent top 10 finisher at the Isle of Man TT races and now has a number of laps over the magic 130mph mark. In 2026, riding for the factory KTS Triumph team, he was the first rider home on a true SportBike in the new SportBike class. However, in the inaugural year for the class, it was still a race dominated by 'Twins', like the Paton's. Not only was Dom the first rider home on a true SportBike, he also set the unofficial lap record* around the Isle of Man on an official SportBike*!

Most race fans will have first 'met' Dom as a part of the hugely successful Chasin' the Racin' podcast, where he was one of the original hosts with his good friend and founder of the pod, Chrissy Rouse.

Although known for his abilities on the road racing scene, Dom is equally as adapt racing on the short circuits and on the dirt in Flat Track. Since the tragic passing of Chrissy in October 2022, Dom has riden with the number 96 in Chrissy's honour. Chrissy raced carrying the 69 plate, so Dom reversed the numbers as Dom say's himself "the 69 plate is Chrissy's and always will be".

In 2023, Dom took part in the inaugral season of the BMW F900R cup championship with images from all the rounds below (coming soon!). From there, he returned to the big bikes with a focus very much returning to his first love of racing the roads, and cementing himself as one of the fastest road racers in the country. To date, Dom has two podiums at the TT, both in the SuperTwin class, riding a Paton. However, with his ability, dedication and speed, further podiums at the TT are surely just a matter of time.
