2022 - R11: brands hatch
Arm pump issues I think affected Jack this final meeting, but as with Donington Park the previous round, now's the time to find these issues so they can be worked on and addressed over the winter months.
I've absolutely loved capturing these images of the Champion this season, and I already can't wait to continue with this in 2023.
Goes without saying, if Martrain are after a snapper to help with a couple of shots here and there over the season, then I'm there!!
Hope I've done Jack's season justice here, as he's been an absolute legend. I think the images of Jack are all amongst my personal favourites of the season. See you next year Jack, and I promise I'll get some more shots of yer da too!!
2022 - R10: donington park
A first outing on the Martrain Racing Yamaha for Jack here, but this time in it's R1 guise. Team only got the bike that week, so I think they had literally just finished building it hours before the first FP1 session.
A great chance for Jack to get a feel of the bike with no pressure whatsoever, and to identify areas of improvement. A great chance for the team to also learn some lessons on the extra demands of the Superbike class, with more track time, le prep time.
Steady progress made through the weekend.
2022 - R9: oulton park
Title in the bag already for the second visit to Oulton of the year, and a bit of a celebration feel to proceedings. Also, confirmation that Jack, and Martrain Racing are to return to a full season tilt at the British Superbike Championship.
In preparation for the 2023 season, the last two rounds will be in the Superbike class, which gives a 'real life' test situation for the team, and Jack to work on setting the bike up ready to hit the new season running.
From my side of things, on of my favourite shots of Jack from the year (and I've got many!)
2022 - R8: snetterton
This is a view that the British SuperSport field has got used to seeing - the back of Jack Kennedy.
Round 8 at Snetterton saw Jack finally confirm the 2022 SuperSport title on the R6 Yamaha for the Martrain Racing team.
Rumours started circulating at this meeting that there could be an opportunity for Jack on a competitive ride for 2023. Well deserved, and totally overdue.
All eyes turn to the second visit to Oulton Park, and Jack turning out as 2022 champion!
2022 - R7: cadwell park
Back on the pace at Cadwell Park for the awesome Jack Kennedy - seen here taking the chequered flag, tucked down right under the bubble of the screen.
A race 2 win made up for a second place finish in race 1 to Harry Truelove after a rare excursion to the grass for Jack.
Performances and results have been nothing short of dominant in 2022.
2022 - R6: Thruxton
A rare 'defeat' for Jack in race 1 where he finished second in the overall classification, with the fast and open track of Thruxton suiting the GP2 machines. This still meant a win, however, in the SuperSport class.
Added to this, race 2 brought back 'normal service resumed', with Jack taking the overall win in a thrilling race.
2022 - R5: Brands Hatch
Another dominating performance from Jack, with two race wins to extend his lead in his bid for a record 4th British SuperSport Championship title.
Close in crop focusing on Jack's face, and trying to grab the feeling of his actually coming out of the image towards you.
2022 - R3: Donington Park
Nice wheelie shot here of Jack, although unusually, missed out on a race win to Bradley Perie. However, championship title charge still well and truly on track and Jack continues to be the man to beat in the British SuperSport championship.
2022 - R2: Oulton Park
This action shot was taken of Jack Kennedy at full throttle storming across the Start/Finish line at Oulton Park. Topping every session, and winning both races, Jack extended his lead in the championship in his quest for a 5th British SuperSport Championship title.
2022 - R2: Oulton Park
Leading the way in this Race 2 image. For those who aren't aware, Race 2 is also known as the 'feature race', which is run over a slightly longer race distance than Race 1, which is called the 'sprint race'. As can be seen here, although Lee Johnston put up a good fight in the early laps, as the race went on, Jack pulled out an unassailable lead.
2022 - R1: Silverstone
Difficult conditions, at least for photography! First outing on the Martrain Racing Yamaha R6 for Jack, and a solid start with a couple of race wins to get the Championship of to the best possible start.
